Measuring scroll depth in email

Hi there,

 

We use Campaign Standard as well as Analytics. Does anyone know anyway (or any plugins) that would allow us to track/measure the scroll depth in an email?

AE "standard 3D module is missing" error message

Hi

 

I am having the exact same problem with AE as some other users, has anyone found a solution yet to ... when trying to launch AE this error message appears "After Effects can't continue as the standard 3D module is missing" see attached two screens.

 

Spoke with Adobe direct, they uninstalled ALL Adobe products, ran CC cleaner and then reinstalled, but to no avail ...

 

Then they tried adding new permissions, then adding AE as an allowed app through the controlled folder access, still no change.

 

Then at the next attempt they set up a Windows 10 Admin account and AE opens up there, but will not open in my normal user account.  The last time I used AE was back in March'19 and was working fine.  I have Windows 10, 16GB Ram and Intel i7 7700. AE is version 16.1.2 now installed from the reinstall.

 

Unfortunately although just a student I have just suffered a small stroke, which as you can imagine was a real shock and now that I am out of hospital I was going to try and do a course on AE as part to my recovery to get my brain up and running again, but I am getting lost, I don't know what to try or who to ask, which is making my recovery even worse for me ... any further "easy" steps or thoughts I could try.  My brain is scrambled with the stroke so easy explanations please, :0)

SPA React not displaying Custom Components

I have spent a ton of time and combed through the docs to figure out this. My custom built react component is not displaying in the editor, ever. It is showing up on the http://localhost:4502/content/wknd-events/react.model.json and in the CXR/DE. Feel like I have tried everything and I am not seeing any resources for debugging this/ a workaround.  The custom-built components also do not render in ANY AEM instance but if I pull up the local build (localhost:3000) all of the items that I did add appear.

Updating Web Objects in Library

I am noticing some inconsistent behaviors with updating web objects that have been imported into a Captivate Library.  These web objects are zip files that contain HTML5 animations created in Animate CC. I would like to update these by right clicking the animation zip file in the library and choosing update, however the object in the library doesn't reflect the updated version. I have also tried selecting the web object on the slide and using the Browse button in the Style settings, which doesn't work either. Am I doing something wrong?

 

In case anyone else is having issues with this, I have found two workarounds for this problem.

 

One is to delete the zip file from the library and re-import it. This is not desirable since the web object has to be added to back to the slide and it affects advanced actions that reference it.

 

The best option I have found is to re-import the same zip file, but from a different folder. Copy or move the zip file to a different folder. Next select the zip file in the library, right click it, and choose properties. In the properties window, click import and browse to the new location of the zip file. This will update the zip file to the newest version. Captivate automatically adds (2) to the title of the object, which I remove to before clicking OK to avoid confusion later.

 

I am using Captivate 11.5.1.499. Projects are edited on the local machine. This issue was also present in Captivate 2017. We just upgraded to 2019 last week, and I was hoping this would be fixed. It is not a huge deal, but it does add extra work since we use a lot of content that is exported  from animate.

Can I export a preview as a DNG or JPEG if original photo was deleted?

Hi There,
The hard drive containing all of my photos was damaged and despite taking it to a specialist data recovery centre, there are thousands of missing photos.

 

For various reasons, my backups were also incomplete, so many original photos and previews have completely gone forever.

 

For others, even though the original photo file is damaged or missing, the Lightroom previews and EXIF data are still viewable (but no histogram).

 

 

 

Here's an example of a preview with a missing original JPEG photo:

I'm using Lightroom Classic 8.4.

 

Is it possible to somehow export these previews as a DNG or JPEG, so I could at least get copies of some of my photos back?

How to find a template libraryDocumentId from the Dashboard

In order to send an agreement using the API, one is required to provide the "libraryDocumentId" under "fileInfos" within "DocumentCreationInfo".

For a Library Template Document, is there a way to find out what this document id is from the Dashboard?

 

I can get it by invoking the "api/rest/v5/libraryDocuments" api - but have to reissue the oAuth token to invoke it. Would be easier if the libraryDocumentId were available somewhere in the Dashboard.

 

On a separate note, when invoking the 'api/rest/v5/libraryDocuments' api, I keep getting a PERMISSION_DENIED error when using an access_token generated using the oauth/refresh api.

'Client error: `GET https://api.na1.echosign.com/api/rest/v5/libraryDocuments` resulted in a `403 Forbidden` response:

{"code":"PERMISSION_DENIED","message":"The API caller do not have the permission to execute this operation"}

 

The only way around this is to redo the OAuth steps to generate a new access_token.

Problem - Printing with protected mode

Hello,

 

we are struggling with the following situation:

Start printing PDF documents out of DocuWare (DMS solution) with the Internet Explorer (11.1268.16299) leads to an all grey browser window. After 10-20sec hitting F5 reloads the screen, the document is showing up and the print dialog appears.

Once you have on documents in print preview open and visible, you can open other as well and the print dialog shows up immediately.

 

I already re-installed the Reader and searched for the latest updates.

Disabling the protected mode on start up solves this issue but I'm not allowed to do so due to security reasons.

 

Other documents (not PDF) can be printed straight away.

 

For Edge we got the following workaround:

Activating localhost loopback and run this command

CheckNetIsolation LoopbackExempt -a -n=Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe

 

In Chrome it is working just fine but the IE is our standard browser.

CC 2018 constantly crashing Windows 10

Until the CC 2018 update, I was running CC 2017 on my Windows 10 PC (3.0 ghz, 8 GB RAM) without any problems. IMMEDIATELY after updating to CC 2018, I have had continual Windows 10 crashes, sometimes requiring 2-3 reboot attempts. I noticed that Photoshop had an update to rectify crashing, but so far that update has made no difference. Of course, I usually am using InDesign much more often than Photoshop, though I normally have both (along with Illustrator) open at all times. I called Adobe tech support, and of course his diagnosis was that it is a Windows problem and that CC 2018 has nothing to do with the Windows crashes. Can someone please explain the logic of this? Again, to reiterate: CC 2017 -> No problems   CC 2018 -> continual Windows crashes  …thanks!

Cannot combine AI files in Acrobat "Acrobat does not support..."

This issue only started in the last three or four months. It occurs on both my home and work Mac's, as well as several co workers Macs. We are all using the latest Mac OS and Adobe CS versions of AI and Acrobat.

 

The issue is, when ai files are dragged and drop or added through finder, into the combine files window, ANY files that were not saved TODAY, meaning the same day as the day I am trying to make the combined PDF, I will get the error "Acrobat does not support the conversion of one or more of your files to PDF. Please removed these files or go to Settings and choose the PDF Portfolio option." Using the Portfolio option only results in a PDF that contains only the pages without errors, i.e., the pages that were saved today.

 

This is a gigantic issue for me and others in the company I work for that do the same job as I do, as we regularly combine dozens of AI files into one PDF for submittals to clients. Some of the suggested work arounds such as doing all my work on multiple artboards within 1 file, placing them into ID the exporting as PDF, saving them as PDF's from AI, these are all either not an option or too time consuming to be a viable work around.

 

Acrobat USED to do this without issue and I have been saving combined PDF's like this for years. I do not know why it is now an issue.

 

Is anyone else having this problem or has anyone else had it and resolved the issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Lightroom export washed out in WhatsApp

I've exported 3 photos altogether, color as sRGB, and all looked fine. However, when I shared it on WhatsApp to test, two of them faded.

 

On my laptop, pc and in my phone's gallery the colors are true to what I've edited them to, but on WhatsApp it strips. Has anyone ever experienced this and have a solution for me, please?

Activating Fonts (on the fly) through the Document folder?

In the lab where I teach, no one has access to the InDesign program folder (Windows 10) because of security policies. So it is not possible for me to tell my students to drop a series of fonts into InDesign's own Font folder, before opening a document, you see? Yet, I want to create an exercise where I am taking them through the problem of "Finding fonts" at the time of opening a document, for which none of the fonts are available on the host system. Before I go spend my time in experimenting with different workarounds, to force InDesign to honor my "cunning font opening strategy", I'd like to throw the issue up for discussion, her, briefly, if it's possible. I was toying with the idea of Packaging the document, first, to force InDesign to create it's usual "Fonts" and "Links' subforlders, and then, having the student drop the new fonts into the Font subfolder, thinking that, upon opening the Document, InDesign would be "fooled" to activate all the fonts found inthe Font subfolder even though they are not being used in the Document.

 

Would that work at all? I'll bet there is an easier workaround than that.

For Premiere Pro Color Effects Processing, Should Nvidia GPU be set at 'Full Spectrum'

I read the problems with exporting from Premiere Pro Media Encoder to QuickTime and when done, the QT video plays back a little 'washed out.'

 

I also read that the Nvidia GPU should be set at "Full Spectrum" (0-255) and to use the "QT FIX LUT" "Why does my footage look darker in Premiere?" Color Q&A

 

Question:

 

If you use the QT FIX LUT,  why must you also change the GPU to full spectrum?  (monitor is calibrated to 709rec, color management turned off & Nvidia GPU color set at Limited 16-235)

 

My thought is, if you change it to full spectrum, your work will look different on other computers, because most other computers are not pre set with full spectrum? or are they?

How to stabilize a hyperlapse?

Hello everyone,

 

I discovered that Warp Stabilizer clearly have forgotten how to stabilize hyperlapses. Maybe its because of some of the latest updates? Idk...

 

So far I have tried to use the track motion button - having two trackers, one for stabilization and one for rotation. Unfortunaetly when adding the rotation tracker the whole clip turns upside down or just rotate randomly like crazy.. The result when only using the stabilization tracker is not very good. Same result apply when using the stabilize motion button..

 

How do you guys stabilize your hyperlapses and have you experienced some of the same problems as me??

Pdf page become white after random time

Hi,

 

we have a problem for one of our customer with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (actual version 2019.012.20035). This problem occur now for months and we can't find any solution after tried everything we found on your forum, and on the web.

 

So, every PDF can be opened without any issue. Customers open more than one pdf at the time, and there is still no problem.

 

BUT, randomly, when the customer do something else, and would like to come back in Adobe (program is still open, with different tabs for the different pdf that are still open), the PDF are showing blank page, and sometimes, but not all the time, he get the message "Adobe insufficient data for an image".

 

It's important to mention that this error never display when you open the PDF, but after a while, when you leave the pdf on the side, and would like to come back into it.

 

The customer works on Terminal Server 2016, on a farm of 3 servers, problem is occuring on the 3 servers, for everyuser.

 

I already deleted the whole Adobe installation, cleaning with the cleanup tools, and make a clean installation, but the problem still persist.

 

Can i get tips, help to solve this problem?

Camera Raw V11.4.0.273 doesn't support GPU?

I update the Camera Raw 11.4.0.273, but it doesn't support GPU acceleration.

 

however, in previous version of Camera Raw, my video card support GPU acceleration.

 

my video card is "NVIDIA Corporation GeForce GTX 970/PCIe/SSE2"

 

i already updated the GPU's Driver.

 

is there a bug of Camera Raw V11.4.0.273  or my video card doesn't support  GPU acceleration?

Missing some artboards in cloud document

DIsclaimer: This problem was happened in my friend's Adobe account.

 

We're currently working on a mobile app design. It was already finished actually. But after having a meeting with the whole team, we need to change some things on the design. But early on this morning, when my friend open the file he was shocked that there are missing artboards on the document. He contacted me about this issue, asking me to check if it's actually missing or not. Well, it is missing from the file. I don't really know the detail but he said he's sure he wasn't accidentally deleted the artboard.

Notice the empty space under the "article" section? It's there were we lost some artboards...

 

So, what happen? Is there any way to retrieve the missing artboard again?

EDIT 2: When we pressed Ctrl+A to select all artboards, we could see the missing artboards, but they're transparent
