In the Bates Numbering output options menu is there a way to insert the Bates Range of the document before or after the original pdf file name?

     I need to Bates Stamp a large number of documents (upwards of 50000) for my law office and the attorneys I am working with need to be able to see both the Bates range and file name for each document in the file name [e.g. (25642-25644) Housing Information.pdf]. I have thus far been Bates stamping a group of files in a folder and then adding the range to the beginning of each file manually and individually and am currently around the 25000 mark which has taken multiple days to reach. Looking at the output options for Bates stamping however, I noticed that there is an option to either "replace file names with starting and ending Bates Number (e.g. 000100-000115.pdf)" or "Add to original file names" with the ability to insert something before or after a file name for the selected files.

     My question pertains to whether I can sort of blend these features and be able to Bates Number a group of documents whilst simultaneously inserting the range prior to the original file names of the documents I am working with. I'm a little confused if Adobe doesn't have this feature because I wonder how attorneys would be able to discern what file is which if they're only looking at Bates ranges... unless they simply have flawless memory.

InDesign CC won't save my files

Hi

 

I've been working in InDesign for a week now and since yesterday I started noticing that at times InDesign won't undo and I am not able to save my file. I keep hitting command + s while working but it just doesn't save or give an error message. If I go on the File menu all the save and save as commands are grayed out. If you close the file and click on the save button InDesign just gives a message that the file cannot be saved. I have to close the file without saving and redo all the work. Because InDesign doesn't give an error when pressing command + s I would do a lot of work under the impression everything gets saved but it doesn't and I keep losing a lot of work.

 

Also CC runs very slow. There are times when the program just "freezes" for awhile while InDesign does somethings in the background and only after it is done you can start working again. The pages panel takes ages to load the previews onto the pages and while it is doing so I cannot do anything at all.

 

Starting to think I should have stayed with CS6.

Bridge 2019 Crashing Frequently

I updated my version of bridge last week to 2019 9.0.2.219 when deleting files it often crashes, this can be when I delete a lot of files or just a few. This forces me to Force quit and open bridge again. 

 

I get this when right clicking and moving to trash and also when using Command + Delete

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

File Attachment Issue

I am having an issue with file attachment script.  If several files are attached (3+) and removed, they can no longer be opened.  Also, the actual attachments are not being capture in the list on the form properly.

Master Page is either not applying or is stuck in the back

I have 2 master pages set up to apply page numbers over dark or light backgrounds.

 

Neither of the master page items are:

- applying at all

OR

- remaining stuck in the back with all my art covering them

 

Would anyone know what the problem possibly could be?

Cancel trial Subscription

I'm trying to cancel my trial subscription for Acrobat DC & I follow the link to cancel but it takes me to the login page & won't let me login. I've tried changing my password etc, but never lets me in!!

Horrible Customer Service

I received a free one year subscription to Adobe via Adobe Stock. Accepted in January of 2019, and now suddenly without warning it forces me to accept the trial version, which expires in 5 days. I have just wasted an hour of my time chatting to someone and they tell me I don't have an account with my email, that it is under another email, as well they told me I cancelled my subscription which I did not do. They insisted I had openend my free account under another email and I have no clue what that would be, so simply put, the won't reactivate my subscription. I even sent them the emails I received from Adobe Stock with the activation code, and there only response is it has been used. No kidding!

Anyway, I have no clue why my FREE subscription has been taken away and I most certainly did not cancel the account, so now I am forced to go back to paying which pretty much defeats the offer of FREE. And to be told I cancelled it is such a shameful bunch of nonsense.

 

I can only say the customer service was about the worst I have ever had. Adobe, you sure dropped the ball on this one.

InDesign XML Tags affecting layout

Hello,

 

I use InDesign XML tags in my translation workflow to update content between an XML file residing on SDL WorldServer and an InCopy document that can import directly into a template.

 

I am running into trouble with certain translated languages (specifically Hebrew and Japanese) where the XML tags cause changes to the text itself.

 

In Hebrew, Nikkud characters (small punctuation symbols that tell the reader how to pronounce the word) often shift when enclosed in the XML tags.

 

In Japanese, rubys shift to the next character in the document.

 

These then need to be corrected by hand even though the XML information in the raw ICML file is correctly formed.

 

Has anyone run into this before and is there a way to get around the text shifting?

ER Diagram for Adobe Campaign Database

Hi All,

 

I am looking for some way to generate the ER diagram on the Adobe campaign v7 database. Tried to use the ERD tools available like DB viewer etc.but it is not showing any cardinality or linking between the tables on the keys.

 

Can someone please guide me on how can we generate the ER diagram from underlying database used by Adobe Campaign. Showing the links is very important in this case.

My system started playing up when I logged into Creative Cloud. I wondered if it was something to do with Syncing as I had apparently been working on the document for some time offline?

I have not been using any legacy documents.

Publishing Online fails to print .tiff graphics in ID 2019

A month ago I published a copy of a book I'm designing to pass along to the illustrator for her comments -- no problems.

Today, the online publishing failed multiple times to publish and upload the illustrations (all .tiff files).

The text portion seems to have published properly.

I have ID v. 14.0.2 x64 running on a WIN 10 v. 1903, build 18362.239 installed 7.2.2019 (I reinstalled my OS).

Update: exporting to .pdf produced the same issue... no illustrations were published, just text.

 

Update: I installed ID on my wife's computer and used the same file there. Online publishing worked as designed... both illustrations and text were properly published.

I noticed that the published online file opened in the Edge browser, so when I attempted to open, then publish the same file on my computer, I had it open in an Edge browser... no illustrations were published, just text.

 

So... it apparently has something to do with my computer - perhaps a video driver problem? I've had some issues recently.

AEM 6.4 Reader Extension service failing with timeout(ThreadDeath)

We have AEM 6.4 OSGI installed on tomcat 8 with FORMS add-on packages.

We have a sling servlet calling DocAssuranceService to reader extend forms but we are getting ThreadDeath throwable as below.

It looks like this issue is triggered when Reader Extension service is executing javascripts on postSave event on the form and timing out. This process with the same forms is wokring fine in AEM Forms running on JEE server but it is failing on OSGI bundles.

 

The timeout seems to be set to 10 seconds in com.adobe.internal.pdftoolkit.services.javascript.GibsonContextFactory.

Is there way to configure this timeout or bypass postSave event on the server when reader extending a form?

Photoshop Mix Launch Error Message

The author has been receiving an error message when opening Photoshop Mix that reads "Low Disk Space" and "not enough space for your projects on this device", though the device indicates that there is 5GB or more available. Pictured is the error message and the reported storage available. The author is wondering if there is a troubleshoot known to the community to remedy this obstruction. Thanks!

How do I edit .mkv files now since Adobe decided to remove support?!!

On Windows, OBS is a very popular and free screen recording software that I use. It has several options for formats, but for multi-channel audio formats, only MP4 and MKV will work. They recommend using MKV files since it will still save the file to the drive even if the OBS program crashes, while with MP4 files, it will not save to the drive if it crashes, so you'll lose the screen capture.

 

That being said, I have several dozens projects created with MKV files and up until version 13.1.2 everything was fine besides a few bugs that Premiere always has. In the latest update, 13.1.3, Adobe decided to remove support of MKV files in both Premiere Pro AND Media Encoder, so now all my old projects are useless and cannot be opened, AND I can't even convert the mkv files to another format since Media Encoder can't even import the files.

 

Isn't the point of media encoder to encode media?

 

So as a paying customer of Adobe, using their professional video editing software as a professional Video Editor, I no longer can edit my videos.

 

How can I convert .mkv files?

 

And yes, I've sent Adobe feedback on the other site, but that's completely useless. It's obvious they simply do not listen to customers, there's feedback requests from years ago with several hundred upvotes like people wanting time re-mapping faster than 1000% that STILL hasn't been implemented, so my new feedback requests with 3 upvotes are buried in the many pages of other feedback requests, and are likely to never be implemented.

 

Anyway, I guess I should downgrade? Even though I have $700 worth of professional media applications from Adobe, what non-adobe program can convert mkv files, since I can't do that with Adobe?

 

It's like the Premiere team decides what will annoy customers, then they do it.

 

By the way, the new version 13.1.3 that says it has a bunch of stability improvements is actually REALLY SLOW. Projects take twice as long to open now, and while editing, it's really sluggish compared to 2 hours ago when I was in 13.1.2..

 

It just never ends with Premiere.

 

Yesterday, sent in 2 crash reports because it crashed while putting warp stabilizer on a clip.

 

Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator RARELY crash, so why does Premiere ALWAYS crash? Why is Premiere ALWAYS buggy and ALWAYS slow?

 

When you have client projects due and Premiere is being buggy, so you upgrade because it lists a bunch of stability improvements, then it's actually twice as slow, it makes you really frustrated.


Sincerely, a customer with no more patience for Adobe.

Premiere Pro CC 13.1.3 | Unable to Launch

Is anyone experiencing launch issues with the latest update of Premiere Pro CC (13.1.3) on Windows 10? The app will open the loading screen for me, but will remain inactive indefinitely until I use Task Manager to close it. Video drivers and Windows updates are all up to date, and system is more than capable of handling the application (System stats below).13.0.3 will launch and open, but all my projects have been saved in the 13.1.3 version.

I need guidance in programming my iOS, Xcode, Swift app to copy my PDF NSData stream into the Files iCloud folder on my iPhone. Your Adobe Scan app can move a PDF file into the Files folder on my phone. I am trying to use UIDocument but can not get the correct NSURL. Did Adobe get special file permission to do this?

360 pano is zoomed too far in when editing with PS

Hi all,

 

I've been playing with 360 panos with my drone for sometime now, but I'm never happy with the sky.  I can get there okay using fill content aware, but I can't fit the entire "hole" on my screen.  I'd like to zoom out more than it allows, and I'm not sure why I can't do it.

Please check and advice if any other options, why it is showing like this?.

Can't get my fonts after typefont became Adobe Fonts.

Look at the alert box, right-top corner "Typekit is not working"

 

Creative Cloud app can't get any info. I already install the software more than one time.
