PSE 2018 Organizer doesn't load
Hi, I have PSE15 on my mac.
I downloaded PSE 2018. The Editor opens. However, het Organizer , upon opening keeps hanging. Does not open. Even tried to open with the Shift key and thus select the proper catalog. Didn't help.
Any one a solution ?

Windows Monitor Question [Was: "A semi-InDesign question"]
This isn't exactly an InDesign question but it stems from a situation that arises when I use InDesign. I'll be happy to move the question, or re-ask it in a different section of the forum, if anyone knows where that ought to be. I didn't see a "hardware" forum listed.
I have a two-monitor set-up and have had none of the two-monitor problems I've read about elsewhere. Both are Dell and work in tandem together well. I'm not married to having only Dell monitors. It is just luck of the draw. I had a 27" and when I got the 29", I combined them for a dual desktop (one portrait, one landscape), and it works well. But there is a diff in visibility between the two. On the older monitor, when I use InDesign, the guides, bounding boxes, cursors, etc., are much more distinct -- thicker, darker, brighter in color. On the newer monitor, they are so thin and pale that I constantly have to zoom in to see what I'm doing.
I realize there are factors that can affect this sort of thing -- resolution, brightness, etc. -- but I have tried everything I can think of -- I've adjusted and readjusted the settings on the monitor itself, tried different settings in the Nvidia interface, looked at options inside InDesign (and I find very few ... no way to up the point size of a guide, for instance, at least not that I've found), and nothing makes any difference.
I'm not really asking for help to fix any of these things (unless someone has more ideas), but really am wondering about a different monitor. Does anyone have any favorites they really like that give very good distinction with these fine-line items? I can't just switch to work on my older monitor -- possibly I'm spoiled by the larger size (those couple inches make a diff), but also my desk is such a tangle of wires, I'd actually rather replace the landscape monitor than go through the hassle of resituating my desk arrangement by switching around the ones I have. (Paint me lazy!).
I am on a Windows platform and have NO clue if a monitor from the Apple store would work with a Windows system. I am just clueless re Mac-related items and have never explored this idea. But I'm open to any and all suggestions, raves, recommendations, etc., for monitors preferred by people who use InDesign, on which they have good visibility for guides, bounding boxes, etc. The ones I see on my own screen are hair thin! Very hard to work with. I appreciate any recommendations or suggestions, and thanks very much.

Have a radio button checked based on a selection of an item from a dropdown list
Hi,
I have a dropdown list and a group of radio buttons on my form.
I need that the appropriate radio button should get automatically checked based on the selection of an item from a dropdown list.
For example,
If Item 1 is selected than radiobtn1 should be checked and if Item 2 is selected than radioBtn2 should get checked.

Selecting photos incramentally
I'm trying to figure out how to speed up editing for batches of photos for HDR. I have, lets say, 100 photos, in brackets of 5. I'm wanting to find a way to quickly select all the darkest exposures to and put a preset edit on them. Then a way to select the next bracket up for each 5 and apply another preset edit, and so on, until each bracketed photo has it's own edit.
Right now i'm having to manually select all the photos I want to edit. Is there a way to select incramentally, like every 5th photo? or select based on exposure level? or to create a batch process that will automate the whole process of selecting and running the premade edits?

Extendscript for AE. Reference comp by NAME, not by index.
Hi everyone, first time poster.
I'm making my own plugins for AE for my own toolkits.
I have a main composition called MAIN_CONTROL. What i want to do is reference this by the name and not index. I want to see if this comp contains a layer, and run a function based on whether or not it does. So....
var chkLayer = app.project.MAIN_CONTROL.layer("Layer Name");
if (chkLayer == undefined){

}
As of now i can access it by "index" using app.project.item(1).layer("Layer Name")......
But as i build my project and if i re-organize that MAIN CONTROL comp into a subfolder, the index changes and everything breaks.
For some reason this seems so basic, but it is a pain in the butt.
Any help is appreciated.

Unable to run Premiere Pro
I've been unable to open Premiere Pro, and keep getting this error message. Other forums have suggested something about a Visual C++ package or something but I'm not sure what this is and any explanations/advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

unknown or invalid jpeg marker, yet every other program opens the file
The subject says it all. I have several files that I sent to myself from a photo archive site and none of them will open in PS CC, always giving this reason. But like I said, they all open in every other program, including gmail, Facebook, Microsoft Office, Windows Photos. So far, only Photoshop doesn't like these files. In fact here is one of the images, which I see opened just fine here in the Adobe Forum discussion. This looks like a bug to me. You? If it is, how can I get it entered into the bug list for the next update? (Yes, that is me at the desk, back when I was in 5th grade. Aren't I adorable?)

I have created a new layer and made a rectangle box fade out to reveal my phone but when I test the fade works but the buttons on my phone are not clickable (inactive) I have tried different snippets and in different parts of the code but it does not solve the problem. Can anyone help?

AEM - Ability for the client to configure where data is stored
Hi,
In AEM, will the client be able to configure where data is stored?
My understanding is that everything is content in AEM: The code, the media files and the actual pages and all content is stored together
In such a case, is it possible to configure where only the actual pages content is stored?
Also, whether to store all content in JCR, or Mongo DB is decided during the initial stages of an implementation only and not once all systems are implemented and up and running correct?

Creative Cloud No Memory Message
I check the amount of memory usage in the creative cloud directory and it indicates 214 mb, I have 20 Gb and keep getting out of memory messages. I've clear several directories out of my cloud archives and it has no effect on the memory amount.

3D Extruding Roundness
I keep having the issue of my objects looking perfectly fine and then when I go to "3D Extrusion" and pop out my design, it rounds edges and straight lines sometimes get rounded off and corners get rounded instead of being a hard edge. I'm not sure if there are settings I can change to make an EXACT extrusion of my piece rather than it auto tweaking edges and corners etc. I've went through all the settings I can imagine and about to lose hope with Photoshop 3D. PLEASE HELP!!!
In the attached picture, I show an example of what it's doing to a LOT of my items. Also you will notice that when I leave the little floating rectangle above the letter, it extrudes PERFECTLY how I want it. However I don't want the rectangle above the L so I erased it pre-extrusion and then it decides to round off the edge. Thanks for any help on this.
