Empty EULA box on AcroXI

Trying to run Acrobat Pro XI for the first time after a Creative Cloud install; but the EULA dialogue box is completely empty... no text at all... and even the window header has the placeholder "Product" instead of "Acrobat Pro". The "Agree" button does nothing, but "Quit" sure works great. Known problem?
