Hi everyone,
I'm building a simple contest entry form and need some help...here are the quick facts:
1. contest entry form collecting only name, email address and national ID (this is a unique number given to each citizen, which will be verified offline when prizes are collected)
2. each person can only enter once
3. i need to find a way to prevent duplicate entries....as in...if someone enters the contest again using a national ID that has been submitted before....he will get a message that says "sorry you have entered before and can only enter once" or similar message
4. I have toyed with using the "username" field to collect the national ID....as when the form is submitted the system checks if this username already exists in the system. However, I have not been able to customize the system message that is rendered based on whether the username is already in use or not...
Has anyone does this before of have any ideas?
