I recently updated my computer’s operating system from Windows XP Professional to Windows 7 Professional. Before shutting down the old system and installing a new blank hard drive, I deactivated Photoshop Elements 10 using the option to permanently remove all the activation data and software licensing information from the old hard drive.
After doing a clean install of Windows7 Professional I attempted to reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and suffered two (2) failed install attempts. On the third attempt the first thing that happened was the previously entered serial number was already entered in the Installer however I deleted those numbers and entered them again even though the matched perfectly. Even though I made sure the Serial Number was identical to the number shown on the DVD case as screen popped up saying the “Invalid Serial Number”. I attempted this process two more times then opened a case with Adobe on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 12:21:35 PM PDT, however I have not had any response to date. In fact when I look at the Status of the case on the website it shows “Open - Pending Adobe Response” As of this writing it is Thursday, October 25, 2012, 5:45 PM PDT or almost 54 hours later and I still have not had a response from Adobe.
Therefore I’m posting this question to see if anyone in the Community can help me resolve this issue. The Serial Number is valid and I have followed Adobe’s procedure as outlined in their Activation, deactivation | Adobe products to make sure I preserve my ability to continue using Photoshop Elements 10 on my computer. As of now that’s not the case and if I don’t get the issue resolved I will lose my ability to use a software package I own and paid for.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
