Working on a shop that sells tiles
We want to charge £45 shipping for any amount. Easy
We also are offering free samples that will be charged £2.99 per item shipping fee so instead of a shipping fee I have added a handling charge of £2.99. I had this catologue ectcluded from the £45 shipping fee.
and it works for the items if bought seperatly.
However if a customer buys a tile which should be charged £45 shipping and also adds a sample which has a handling fee of £2.99 then the check out cart displays no shipping option and the customer gets everything free shipping.
now in an ideal world Id love it if the shipping was just added at the point on check out automaticly without the customer having to manually add it. everything has a set shipping rate so there is no need for a drop down menu. Is this possible to do?
the only way I know to fix this it to add the samples to the £45 shipping fee and let the customer add the cheaper handling fee themselves, but Id love it if this option wasn't availible to samples.
looking forward to solution peeps. I alwaus re read these questions and I sound like a crazy person.
