So how do you sort your email? Newest first? Oldest first? By sender? Some other way?
I sort and read my email by oldest first using a threaded view (same-subject messages grouped together) in Thunderbird. It's very efficient, but it seems that I'm at odds with the email apps in my phone, on the web and in Windows 8. All those other email utilities sort newest first, and don't have an option to change the sort order. So using anything other than TBird to read my mail is a painful experience for me since I seek out the oldest messages first.
That got me to thinking -- do other people read newest first? Is it better? If so, why and how?
