I am trying to animate a very simple transition in CS6 Illustrator involving a text object of one size and color to a smaller size and different color. I've tried both approaches using Blend and Layers. They both seem to export without any problems, but the resulting Flash file is just a static image which appears to be just a duplicate of what the Blend operations shows on the screen. I've tried the Flash file in Chrome and IE, but both fail to animate. Both, however, have no problems with other Flash objects from the Web.
Some of the tutorials are several years old, so they might not apply to CS6.
For the Blend approach:
1. Create two objects.
2. Blend them using eight transition steps
3. Export to SWF file.
Seems simple enough, but it doesn't work when I try it.
The layer approach also involves ungrouping, expanding, and separating each transition object to its own layer (release to sequence layers), but the result is the same -- no animation in the browser.
Am I missing something?
