Cannot combine PDFs in acrobat XI

I have just installed Acrobat XI Professional and the "File - Create - Combine Files into a Single PDF" process is completely non-responsive.

All of the other ways of manipulating PDFs seem to work fine, e.g., I can create portfolios, do batch conversions, etc.

I have reinstalled to no avail.

Any suggestions?!
